About Gus
Miami Beach residents first — that is, first and foremost, my priority as your Miami Beach mayor. As an advocate for the people, it’s my duty to serve and help the community for the benefit of all by bringing Miami Beach back to its residents and local businesses. To protect the Miami Beach residents’ way of life, I dedicate my campaign to supporting our police department to boost their morale and in their efforts to curb crime, enacting new laws and enforcing existing laws to keep Miami Beach a safer place for its residents, and to protect your rights regardless of nationality, color, sexual orientation, or religion.
